Mrs. Philip's Speech and Language Therapy Page
Hello! I am excited to be your speech therapist for the 2020-2021 school year! I have been a speech and language pathologist for 20 years, and have been with District 153 for the last three years. I received my BA and MA from Northern Illinois University in Speech Language Pathology. I have spent my time as a speech pathologist working with many different students and children from ages 0-21. I am a mother of four active and beautiful children that keep me busy after school hours. I can't wait to get to know you and your family as well!
In speech, we work on articulation (sound development), receptive language (listening and comprehension), expressive language (vocabulary, word meaning, creating longer sentences) as well as fluency (stuttering) and pragmatics (social skills). I have tons of fun activities planed for us this year to help strengthen speech and language skills!
