Welcome to Ms. Granato's Teacher Page

Welcome everyone!!!!

My name is Kristen Granato. I am currently on my tenth year of teaching! I have taught in Dolton, Frankfort, and Homewood where I have been for the past four years. I graduated with a double major in Special Education and Elementary Education from Lewis University in 2012. Recently, I received a Master's degree from the American College of Education with a certificate in Educational Technology. I have worked with students with varying abilities for over eleven years. I am currently an 8th grade Resource teacher who works with students and teachers who may need additional interventions and assistance with the classroom. I am very passionate about my position, and take much pride working within this community. It is my firm believe that anyone can do anything if they work hard, and put their mind to it!

I also coach the James Hart Dance Team where our season runs from August- February. Dancing has been my passion for the past twenty years, and I have been trained in a variety of dancing styles including: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, pom dance, and lyrical. When I am not dancing, I love to read as much as I can, listen to the Beatles, and play with my two nephews and 4 nieces. I am looking forward to an amazing school year with you and your children!
