Physical Education Department Mission Statement:

 Uniforms
  • Inside uniforms: HSD 153 logo shirt and shorts.
  • Outside uniforms: HSD 153 logo shirt, shorts, sweatshirt or sweatpants.
  • Uniforms can be purchased in the James Hart office. 
 
Pool

From the end of May until the end of the school year, students will walk to Lions Club Pool for Phys Ed class. Students are asked to bring a plastic bag with a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and comb or brush to school with them. Girls will wear a one piece swimsuit or tankini. NO BIKINIS. Boys will wear swim trunks with mesh liner. NO REGULAR SHORTS. Life guards will be present along with the Phys Ed teachers.

Bones, Muscles and Stretches

7th Grade:

Students need to know the scientific names of the following bones and muscles. Bones: Clavicle, Sternum, Scapula, Humerus, Radius, Ulna, Vertebrae, Femur, Tibia, Fibula, Metacarpals, Metatarsals, and Patella. Muscles: Abs, Glutes, Biceps, Triceps, Hamstrings, Gastrocs, Pecs, Deltoids, Latissimus Dorsi, Gracilis and Quads. Stretches: Students will need to know how to stretch their Deltoid, Quads, Hamstrings, Biceps, Triceps, Gracilis, Pecs, Lats and Gastrocs.
8th Grade:
