Welcome to Reading Class with Ms. Noonan

Hello, my name is Ellen Noonan and I teach 8th grade reading. James Hart has been home since 2004, and I could not be happier! Sharing my love of reading with students makes my job the greatest. I look forward to seeing each student learn and grow as a reader this year.

 

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Illinois State University, my Master of Education from Cambridge College in Boston, and my Reading Specialist certification from St. Francis University in Joliet. In addition to teaching at Hart, I am also an adjunct professor in the education department at DePaul University in Chicago. 

 

As a member of the Building Leadership Team, I have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and administration, ensuring our building is constantly evolving, keeping up to date with research on best practices in education for all students.
