A Little About Me

I graduated from Lewis University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education with several endorsements.  I have a strong background and experience in working with students with learning disabilities.

I am looking forward to working with your child to help them develop their skills in the basic areas of Math, Reading, and Language arts.  We will also reinforce skills through other classes that include Current Events, Science, and Home Economics.  By recognizing a variety of learning styles, I hope to enhance the achievement of all students. In addition to your child's academics, I implement a daily, functional program that includes cooking, shopping, laundry, and finances.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watching the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox.  Recently, my husband and I got a puppy named Phyllis who is a Corgi.  She is best friends with our son, Jack!
My Philosophy

I believe that every child can learn, and that each child is a diverse and unique learner.  They need a caring and motivating environment where they can grow and develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially.  Quality education is extremely crucial, and I feel that personal development is top priority. High expectations are needed to help students become responsible and independent life-long learners.  I will try my best to integrate technology into the classroom as much as possible to enhance student learning.
