Welcome to the James Hart Art Department!
My name is Kristin Mescall and I will be working to help your child create beautiful pieces of artwork this year. This is my 21st year of teaching Art in this school district. I attended the University of Northern Iowa and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and Elementary Education. I received my Masters of Education from Olivet Nazarene University. I also have my Special Education Endorsement (LBS1) from Lewis University.
This site will allow you to view student artwork, supply lists, parent letters, the grading policy, and helpful resource links. In order to review what projects your child may be working on and if there is any homework assigned, you will need to look on your child's laptop on the Teams page. The Teams page has all assignments, due dates, examples, and demonstration videos.
Note: Points and grades may change daily due to the progress of the art project. Only when the project is complete and turned in will the grade be final.
This website is an informational tool as well as a great educational tool to help your child be more successful in school. Students should be checking Microsoft Teams every day. I will be sending out weekly email blasts to parents to inform you of what we are working on and the due dates. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
